Divison One Of Circuit Court Hears Cases

|Division One of Grundy County Circuit Court head a variety of cases recently.|
34 year old Jesse Richmond IV of Spickard admitted violating his probation. The probation was revoked and Richmond was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
Judge Jack Peace retains jurisdiction for 120 days. Richmond was on probation on a charge accusing him with possessing the controlled substance Clonazepam pills in May of last year.
22 year old Jonathon Woods of Trenton admitted violating his probation. The probation was revoked. A 4 year prison sentence that previously had been put on hold now must be served. Woods was on probation on a check conspiracy charge.
35 year old Robert Johnstone III of Trenton has requested a change of judge in a case in which Johnstone is charged with first degree statutory sodomy of a child less than 14 in June. The Missouri Supreme Court was asked to assign another judge for the case.
32 year old Jeffrey Matthews of Trenton pleaded guilty to passing bad checks. Judge Peace suspended imposition of a sentence and put Matthews on probation for 5 years. He's required to complete a Third Circuit supervisory program and pay restitution of all checks at a rate of $100 a month.
The restitution totals more than $5900.
A misdemeanor charge accusing Matthews with violating a protection order was dismissed by the prosecution.
31 year old Michelle Harding of Trenton pleaded guilty to passing numerous bad checks. Judge Peace suspended imposition of a sentence and put Ms. Harding on probation for 5 years. She's required to make restitution on the checks, which totals over $3200. The restitution is to be made in monthly payments of $150.
Another charge accusing Ms. Harding with passing 4 bad checks was dismissed by the prosecution.
25 year old Lesley Honn of Princeton pleaded guilty to possessing the controlled substance Dilaudid. Imposition of a sentence was suspended and Ms. Honn was put on probation for 5 years. She's required to complete a Third Circuit Court Supervisory program.
31 year old John Smiley, with addresses at Galt and Trenton, withdrew a prior plea and pleaded guilty to an amended charge accusing him with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated in June. The charge was reduced from felony DWI to the misdemeanor DWI count.
Smiley also withdrew a prior plea and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, and misdemeanor failure to yield to an emergency vehicle in June. He was sentenced to 30 days in the Grundy County Detention Center to be served on weekends.
Charges accusing Smiley with misdemeanor driving while his license was revoked and speeding 43 miles an hour in a 35 zone, both in June, were dismissed by the prosecution.
A 65 year old Trenton resident, Mae White, received a 1 year extension on her probation. It now runs until February of 2016.
