Gilman City Board Of Education Approves Health Insurance Policy

The Gilman City Board of Education has approved a health insurance policy for district employees which increases the deductible and co-pay but lowers the premium.

The new policy with Blue Cross Blue Shield includes a $2500 deductible and a $40 co-pay. The monthly premium is slightly over $366 an employee. The Gilman City district will continue to pay the entire premium.

The new policy is more than $15 a month less, per employee, compared to what the district has paid during the past year. However, the deductible is going up $1500 and the co-pay is going up $10.
