Winston Boys Earn Three All-State Softball Selections, All Unanimous

Out of 12 selections to the 2013 Missouri boy's all-state fast-pitch softball team, five were unanimous selections. Three of those five boys hail from Winston High School, home of the 2013 state champion Redbirds.

From Winston, junior Chevy Calhoon, freshman Craig Lewis, and sophomore Ty Uthe were unanimous all-state picks. The other two selections were Grundy R-5 senior Destin Gann and North Harrison senior Luke Stanley.

The remainder of the ALL-STATE boys softball team has Grundy R-5 junior Cade Mullenix, Grundy R-5 seniors Stuart Eller and Clayton Radcliff, Jefferson junior Jed Galbraith and sophomore Ben Jermain, Newtown-Harris senior Micah Busick, and Mercer junior Drew Cox.

Stanley and Busick repeated as all-state selections, after being chosen in 2012.

Here is the order of finish from the 2013 State Tournament at Danner Park in Chillicothe:

1. Winston
2. Grundy County
3. Jefferson
4. North Harrison
5. Newtown-Harris
6. North Mercer
7. East Harrison / Tina-Avalon
