The "Music City" will serve as host to the men's tournament NINE times between 2015 and 2026, while the women's tournament will be played three times during that period. In May, the SEC had made the decision to seek a "primary" site at which MOST SEC tournaments would be played in future years. This week's agreement designates Nashville with that honor.

Under terms of the agreement, the men's tournament will be played in Nashville every year from 2015 to 2025 with the exception of 2018 and 2022. Bridgestone Arena opened in downtown Nashville in 1996 and has hosted SEC basketball tournaments NINE times. The city played host to the 1984 and 1991 men's tournaments at Memorial Gymnasium, on the campus of Vanderbilt University.
