The Grundy County Health Department at Trenton still has flu vaccine available. It will be given on a walk-in basis.

Persons wishing to receive a flu shot are asked to contact the health department in advance to learn when nurses will be available to give the vaccine. That's because nurses leave the office to offer services in the community.

Persons receiving a flu shot are asked to take their Medicare, Medicaid, or health insurance card for billing purposes.

The Grundy County Health Department says donations are requested from persons not covered by insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.

The Grundy County Health Department says flu vaccine supplies are plentiful, and the
Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommends a flu shot for everyone over 6 months old.
