Coffey Woman Injured/Arrested After Rollover Accident

A woman from Coffey was injured, then arrested, as a result of a single vehicle rollover accident early this morning in rural Daviess County.

The highway patrol report indicated 45 year old Lisa Marrs of Coffey received moderate injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.

The patrol reported Ms. Marrs was southbound on Highway 13 when her car traveled off the west side of the road, went down an embankment, struck a fence, continued southbound, struck a ditch, then went down into a ravine where it overturned several times coming to rest between some trees. The car was demolished.

The accident happened two miles north of Coffey in the early morning hours today.

The state patrol said Lisa Marrs was arrested for investigation of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, no seat belt, and no proof of insurance.
