Livingston County Library To Hold Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The Children's Department at the Livingston County Library at Chillicothe is hosting it's first annual pumpkin decorating contest.

The rules require each entry to be created by a child. No cutting of the pumpkin is allowed. And, the pumpkin needs to be a children's storybook character.

Pumpkins of any size, shape, or color may be used.

There are 4 age groups for those entering the contest. Under 6, 6 through 9, 10 to 12, and family. A prize is to be given for each category.

The deadline to submit a decorated pumpkin to the the Children's Department at the Livingston County Library is the afternoon of October 18th at 5 o'clock. They'll be displayed in the Children's Department for patrons to cast votes. The results are to be announced October 31st.
