Miss Missouri To Appear In Mo. Day Parade

The reigning Miss Missouri and a top twelve finalist in the recent Miss America Pageant will be among the honored guests at the upcoming Missouri Day Festival Parade in Trenton.

Shelby Ringdahl will be a senior at Texas Christian University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Theatre and a Minor in Business. A native of Columbia, Missouri, Shelby graduated from Rock Bridge High School in 2010. While in high school, she participated in varsity basketball and volleyball, show choir, theater, student government and was both the senior class secretary and captain of the volleyball team.

At TCU, Miss Ringdahl has been active in musical theatre, various service organizations, honor societies and Kappa Alpha Theta where she serves as Chief Recruiting Officer, a member of the Executive Committee and music chair.Shelby Ringdahl will be a senior at Texas Christian University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Theatre and a Minor in Business. As Miss Missouri, Shelby travels the state speaking to groups of all types on various topics including bullying and her Miss Missouri platform of “CASA: Home, Safe, Home.” It is her passion to inspire individuals within our families, schools and communities to seize every opportunity presented to you in life. It is her desire to always keep that message relevant by framing it in a way that fits the needs of her audience. She strives to personalize each presentation and make the topic relevant to the organization and age group. Shelby is also an ambassador for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Miss Missouri was selected to the top twelve finalists in the Miss America Pageant held in Atlantic City and was also in the top three among the people’s choice from on-line voting held prior to the national competition. As Miss Missouri, she will travel the state making appearances and performing with the Missouri Day Festival Parade as one of her first since competing in the Miss America Pageant.
