Thirty Women Receive Scholarships

|Thirty female graduates of North Mercer and Princeton high school have received Gene Kauffman scholarships.|
Collectively, the 30 ladies have been awarded more than 101 thousand dollars worth of scholarships for the fall semester at 11 colleges or Universities in Missouri. The list includes eight each who are attending North Central Missouri College in Trenton or Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.
Gene Kauffman Scholarship applications for the spring 2014 semester become available November 1st in the principal offices of North Mercer or Princeton school district. Applications also are to be available on each schools' web site.
Basic guidelines including awarding scholarships to female, unmarried,
non-smoking graduates of high schools in Mercer County who have evidence of need.
The recipients also must be enrolled, and pass, at least 12 hours of college credit and maintain a certain grade point average.
