The Aldermen, earlier this month, heard a first reading of an ordinance to increase the rates. The Board gave it final approval during a meeting last night. The increase is mainly attributed to increased costs for purchasing power.

Gallatin Aldermen approved a resolution to add another handicapped parking space on the square. It will be on the west side of the Gallatin square.

The next Gallatin Board of Aldermen meeting is the night of October 15th at 6 o'clock. That's one night later than usual because of the Columbus Day holiday.
