The supplemental weekend food program includes breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack each weekend during the school year, including extended breaks. Children receive food based on 4 rotating menus offered throughout the year.

Second Harvest Community Food Bank provided information about Grundy County---saying 480 children in Grundy County are food insecure, meaning they don't know where their next meal will come from.

Second Harvest said it's partnered with the Grundy County Community Food Pantry, Church Women United, Pamida Foundation, Land of Lakes Foundation, US Bancorp Foundation, and Hoffman and Reed to provide healthy meals to 120 children during the school year.
