Jameson Man Hurt In Motorcycle Accident

A Jameson man, 54 year old Christopher Nelson, was hurt when his motorcycle and a truck (wrecker) were involved in an accident Wednesday on Daviess County Route Double U three miles north of Jameson.

The highway patrol said Nelson was moderately injured; taken by ambulance to Cameron Community Hospital.

Driver of the truck, 50 year old Timothy Andrew of Gallatin, wasn't hurt. The highway patrol reported Nelson was northbound when he apparently fell asleep. His motorcycle crossed the center line.

According to the report, the truck swerved off the road in an attempt to avoid a collision. Nelson's left leg wasstruck by the other vehicle, then the two collided. Damage was listed as minor to the motorcycle and the truck as a result of the accident late Wednesday morning at approximately 11:30. Both persons were using safety devices.
