Coming Off Lexington Title, Rain Slows THS Softball Momentum

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs, over the past week, lost for the first time this season (9/10 against Brookfield), but rebounded in fine fashion, winning Saturday's Lexington Tournament with three wins in one day.

Trenton, on Saturday, beat Odessa and Chillicothe in pool play, then downed Lexington 2-1 in eight innings in the championship game. Unfortunately for the Lady Bulldogs and Head Coach John Cowling, the chance to build momentum on the road was cut-short by Mother Nature, with muddy conditions postponing games scheduled at Plattsburg (Monday) and Lathrop (Tuesday). Trenton hosts Milan on Thursday night at 5 o'clock, before traveling to Cameron to defend their title from 2012.
