A Hamilton man, 51 year old Robert Hobbs, was sentenced on Tuesday to life in prison in connection with the death of his father more than 2 1/2 years ago. The sentence was announced by Judge Thomas Chapman in Livingston County Circuit Court in Chillicothe. |

Automobile Accidents : Rollover accident injures Norborne man

A Norborne man was hurt when the vehicle he was driving overturned on Tuesday night in Norborne, throwing him out. Forty-one year old David Burton was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries. |

KTTN/KGOZ Sports : Trenton and Milan add softball game, against EACH OTHER Thursday night

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs and Milan Lady Wildcats have found a solution to their softball scheduling issues. Both schools, after searching for one game to add to their schedules, have agreed to play EACH OTHER this Thursday night (September 13th) in Milan. The varsity game is at 5 o'clock with a JV game to follow. Trenton lost a varsity game against Princeton last month, and has been searching for a replacement game. This addition WILL NOT effect Trenton's remaining schedule for 2012. |

The Trenton Lady Bulldog golf team tuned up for today's (Tuesday's) Gallatin Tournament with a head-to-head victory on Monday afternoon over Putnam County, with THS beating the Midgets 191-239 at Riverside Country Club in Trenton. |

The Trenton Middle School team had opportunities to claim a road win on Tuesday night at Polo, driving inside the Panther ten yard line in the fourth quarter's final moments, but coming up short, with Polo holding on for the 20-16 victory. |

The Sullivan County Health Department holds a free influenza immunization clinic on Friday, September 21st in Milan. The clinic is planned for the southeast corner of the Sullivan County Courthouse lawn. The hours are from 9 to 2 o'clock and again from 3 to 4. |

The Missouri Farm Bureau says Farm-Pac trustees have again voted overwhelmingly to support Republican Todd Akin for United States Senate. The Farm Bureau said telephone conference calls held September 5th through the 11th included trustees representing 104 of Missouri's counties, finishing with votes to support Congressman Akin, with results similar to the original endorsement on August 10th. |

The North Central Missouri College basketball programs have finalized their basketball schedules for the 2012-2013 seasons, with the home (and season) openers scheduled for Thursday, November 1st against the William Penn University JV teams at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton. |

Automobile Accidents : Carrollton collision injures three people

Three people were hurt when a car traveled into the path of another vehicle in Carrollton late Saturday afternoon. One of the drivers, 30-year old Albert Fike of Centerview, was taken by private vehicle to Carroll County Memorial Hospital, with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries. |
