Flames and Fires : Cameron fire claims one life

One person is reported dead as the result of a business fire in Cameron. Early Monday afternoon, the Cameron Police Department received a report of a structure fire at A-1 Mobile Truck and Tractor Repair at 1520 Pence Road. A fully engulfed machine type shed was located on the property.

Road Work Ahead : Work announced for U.S. 36/I-35 interchange at Cameron

A fire on Saturday night destroyed a car along Northwest Third Street just west of the Trenton city limits. The Highway Patrol said the vehicle previously had been involved in an accident at that location, and the driver left the scene. The driver's name was not immediately determined.

Michaelis, a 5'10” guard, is the 2012 Missouri Wendy's High School Heisman winner, and part of a three person recruiting class for head coach Robin Pingeton.

The PAR Broadcast Group now has the COMPLETE list of honorees in the Tri-Rivers Conference for the 2012 football season. A partial list was supplied, and read on the air yesterday. As expected, the two-time defending Tri-Rivers champion Milan Wildcats are strongly represented on the first-and-second teams, after a 10-1 season that included a 5-0 record in the conference.

At Chillicothe, a garage and a car were destroyed by separate weekend fires. The Department of Emergency Services was called out late Friday night to 122 JFK in Chillicothe due to the report of a structure fire.

Automobile Accidents : Highway 36 accident injures two men

Mooresville and Chillicothe men were injured early Monday afternoon in an accident on Highway 36, one mile east of Mooresville. The Highway Patrol said 46-year old David Hightower of Mooresville and 89-year old Roy Cope of Chillicothe were taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Automobile Accidents : Arkansas woman injured in Interstate 35 accident

A Fort Smith, Arkansas resident was hurt when the car she was driving went off Interstate 35 and overturned south of Bethany. Sixty-six year old Sandra Hibbs was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital with what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries.

A 74-year old Humphreys man, Keith Smith, was killed late Wednesday afternoon in a farm accident just northeast of Humphreys. Sullivan County Sheriff Roger Smiley said Smith was using a farm tractor and disc mower when the tractor ran out of fuel.
