A vehicle occupied by two area residents hit a black bull in Caldwell County overnight, resulting in what the Highway Patrol described as minor injuries for the passenger, 28-year old Kristen Chamberlain of Cameron, who was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

A Cameron resident, Troy Sloan, exhibited both the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion market lambs at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. The Grand Champion crossbred lamb weighed 146 pounds, while the Reserve Champion lamb weighed 130 pounds.

Accidents : Tuesday morning accident injures Bethany teens

Two people were hurt just south of Bethany when a car overturned onto the passenger side of the vehicle. The Highway Patrol said two passengers, 17-year old Brianna O'Neal and 16-year old Sierra Ash, both of Bethany, were taken by private vehicle to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany several hours after leaving the scene. Both girls were said (by the Patrol) to have MODERATE injuries.

News : Senator McCaskill announces Lauren Gray can STAY in the U.S.A.

United States Senator Claire McCaskill, on Wednesday morning, announced that she has successfully worked with the Department of Homeland Security to obtain an exemption allowing Lauren Gray of Trenton to continue to legally stay in the U.S. and also to seek employment. Lauren will receive a two-year renewable deferral while she and her family continue to wait for Green Card Permanent residency in the U.S.

Sixteen year old Jadde Blozvich was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan, with injuries described as MODERATE by the Highway Patrol.

A woman arrested in Milan for the death of her newborn infant in Minnesota, entered a guilty plea on Wednesday while in court in Gaylord, Minnesota. Sources say 29 year old Amy Romero entered a plea of guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter for abandoning her newborn daughter and leaving her outdoors to die in the woods near her Minnesota home in 2001.
