Nominations for people to serve on County Committees to advise the Farm Service Agency will be accepted beginning today (Friday, June 15th). Nomination forms must be postmarked or received by local USDA Service Centers by the close of business on Wednesday, August 1st. |

Automobile Accidents : Eagleville teenager killed in weekend accident

An Eagleville girl was killed when the car she was driving traveled off Highway 69 north of Eagleville, hit an embankment, and overturned several times, throwing her from the vehicle. Sixteen year old Brittni Brenizer of Eagleville was pronounced dead at Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany on Saturday night, about 90 minutes after the accident. |

Flames and Fires : During demolition work, Chillicothe's Leeper Hotel catches fire

The old Leeper Hotel building in Chillicothe, which has been undergoing demolition in recent weeks, caught fire on Saturday evening while that demolition was continuing. The fire was contained to that structure, although there was smoke damage to a nearly chiropractor's office. No injuries were reported.

Automobile Accidents : Clinton County accident injures five

Five people were injured, three of them seriously, when two vehicles collided at an intersection five miles south of Gower in rural Clinton County. It happened at the junction of Highway 116 and County Line Road. |

Cortney Roberts, the daughter of Shelly Rinehart and Todd and Shelley Roberts, signed a letter of intent to play both softball and basketball at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Lady Pirates Basketball Coach Jenni Croy announced. Roberts is a graduate of Southwest R-1 School at Ludlow. |

KTTN/KGOZ Sports : Stacy Center "Triathlon" scheduled for June 30th

The Stacy Center in Princeton will hold its annual triathlon on Saturday, June 30th. There are two age divisions ----- Under 15 and 15 and Older. The distances for youths under 15 are a 100 yard swim, a two mile bike ride, and a one mile run. The distances for adults are a 500 yard swim, a six mile bike ride, and a two mile run. |

More entries are needed for Saturday's Five Points Chili Cook-off for charity in Trenton. The event, featuring the on-site cooking of chili and salsa, will be held around the Five Points flag pole location in downtown Trenton. It is a fund raiser for the Trenton Downtown Improvement Association and North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center. |

Automobile Accidents : Cameron man killed in Highway 190 rollover accident

The Highway Patrol reports a Cameron man died early Monday morning when he was thrown out of his overturning vehicle in rural Livingston County. The victim, identified as 68 year old Chris Vanderau, was pronounced dead at the scene some two and a half hours after the accident is believed to have occurred. |

An Independence company will be laying underground fiber optics cable in southern Trenton for the next several days. It is part of work that covers a large area of northwest and north central Missouri. |

The Highway Patrol reports a Kirksville boy was fatally injured in an all terrain vehicle accident early Sunday evening in rural Adair County. The operator of the A-T-V was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DWI. |

A Wheeling resident, 33 year old William Knouse, has been accused in Livingston County with manufacturing or attempting to manufacture methamphetamine and three counts of first degree child endangerment. |
