A woman has been sentenced in federal court for real estate fraud in the Kansas City area. Thirty-three year old Angela Allen of Mooresville was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison without parole. On October 18, 2011, Mrs. Allen pleaded guilty to wire fraud in the attempted purchase of a home, as charged in a Sept. 30, 2010, indictment.

A Galt resident received what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries when a car hit the rear of a van in Milan on Tuesday morning. Forty-four year old Linda Dillon of Galt was to seek medical attention on her own. She was the driver of the car.

Fire early this morning has left a Trenton home with major damage, but still standing, at 408 Washington Street. A fire department spokesman said no was home when the fire occurred.
