KTTN/KGOZ News : Sullivan County Relay For Life hosts annual event in Milan

The Sullivan County Relay for Life raised nearly $13,000 for the American Cancer Society. The main activities for the 2012 event were held Saturday afternoon and evening on the Milan Square. Thirty-three cancer survivors participated in the opening lap. |

The Chillicothe "Mayor's Coffee" will be held this Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at Francine's Pastry Parlor at 1007 Bryan Street. Mayor Chuck Haney will be joined by guests Josh Norris of the Parks and Recreation Department and Barry Arthur of the Street Department, to discuss the progress of the new water park, along with current street work. |

The Stacy Multipurpose Center’s Indoor pool at Princeton is scheduled to re-open to the public beginning Wednesday September 26th at 5:00 am. This is a corrected date from information provided to KTTN. Plans also have been announced for a FREE swim this Saturday night.

A 34-year old rural Galt man, Patrick Courtney, has been charged in Grundy County with first degree murder in the death of 32-year old Christopher Molloy of Galt, by shooting him after deliberation. Courtney is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center without bond. He is to appear Tuesday in Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court. |

A Trenton man is in jail after being arrested yesterday on multiple charges stemming from incidents Sunday. Thirty-nine year old Jason Dean Crouse of 600 Normal faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon as well as misdemeanor domestic assault and property damage in the second degree. |

The Highway Patrol says two Gallatin residents were injured on Saturday night northwest of Hamilton when a motorcycle overturned after hitting an owl. The Patrol said the owl had flown from a location "up the road". |

Chillicothe High School had momentum with dominating wins at #1 and #2 singles, but it was the depth of the Trenton Lady Bulldog tennis program that provided the difference, as THS downed CHS 6-3 in a varsity head-to-head duel on Thursday afternoon at Trenton High School. |

Classes in the Trenton R-9 school district will be dismissed early this (Friday) afternoon to allow for the annual homecoming parade. This year, the grand marshals are retired long-time instructor Mike and Beverly Bosley. The parade begins at 2 o'clock this afternoon. |

Trenton traveled to Cameron on Thursday night and played a marathon 14 inning battle with the Lady Dragons. Cameron jumped on the Bulldogs early, scoring the first two runs of the game in the bottom of the first inning, with three THS errors making things difficult on the "Black and Gold". |
