The Missouri State High School Activities Association has set a start time of 5 o'clock for Wednesday night's Class 3 state sectional softball game between District 15 champion Trenton and District 16 champion Benton at Heritage Park's Field #3 in St. Joseph.

Throughout the 2012 softball season, the young Princeton Lady Tigers would find a multitude of positive moments. There were victories at Gallatin and South Harrison that led to a 5-4 Grand River Conference record. However, Princeton's Achilles Heel was defense. When it was good, Princeton was good, and when it struggled, the Lady Tigers game would as well.

The Trenton Lady Bulldog golf team is STATE BOUND, shooting a 390 at the Green Hills Golf Course in Chillicothe on Monday, to become one of eight teams to advance to the Class 1 state tournament, and just two, along with runner-up Moberly, to head for state out of Section 3.

The Illini West Chargers came into last Friday's game against the Trenton Bulldogs with a high-powered offense, a 5-1 record, and sitting one win short of a guaranteed spot in the Illinois high school football playoffs. The Chargers looked as sharp as their resume indicates, shutting out the visiting Bulldogs 48-0, in a game heard on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.

KTTN/KGOZ News : MoDOT reopens rural Carroll County bridge

Carroll County Route C has been opened between County Roads 141 and 151, where bridge repairs were made this summer to girders. The Missouri Department of Transportation said the needed repairs were discovered during a routine bridge inspection earlier this year.

The Trenton Middle School Bulldogs lost on Thursday night by a score of 22-8 at Milan. TMS failed to put points on the board until very late, with Spencer Harris scoring on a four yard run with 15 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. Christian Alcaraz ran the ball in for the two point conversion.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department says it is investigating two reports from the northwest part of the county where batteries were stolen from farm machinery and other heavy pieces of equipment. Sheriff Steve Cox said Livingston County Road and Bridge equipment was one of the machines hit by criminals.
