KTTN/KGOZ News : ATV accident injures Unionville man

A man from Unionville was injured late Wednesday morning when an all-terrain vehicle he was operating overturned north of Unionville. Forty-one year old Derrek Gilworth was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia, with injuries described as SERIOUS by the Highway Patrol.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Trenton dedicates new Five Points flagpole on Memorial Day

Conditions were sunny, warm and windy when the Five Points flagpole dedication was held late Monday morning in downtown Trenton. Toward the end of the thirty minute ceremony was the raising of a large U-S flag to the top of the pole.

KTTN/KGOZ News : ATV collision west of Princeton injures three

Two all-terrain vehicles collided on Sunday afternoon eight miles west of Princeton, injuring three people. The Highway Patrol described injuries as SERIOUS for 22 year old Lacey Edwards of Hamilton, who was flown by medical helicopter to North Kansas City Hospital. She was a passenger on an ATV driven by 22 year old John Whitsell of Clarksdale.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Grundy County's Relay For Life scheduled for Saturday

The fund raising goal is 30 thousand dollars for Saturday's Relay for Life events in Grundy County. It is the annual benefit for the American Cancer Society. Eleven (11) teams will be setting up outdoors on the Trenton High and Middle School campus. The theme this year is a “Rainbow of Hope.” The 12 hour event begins at 12 noon on Saturday.

U.S. Rural Development says it has grants available to repair home of qualifying individuals. The repairs include (but are not limited to) repairing and replacing roofs, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing systems; water and waste disposal; windows; and insulation. Grants may also be used to make the dwelling accessible to a family member with disabilities.
