The highway patrol said a Great Britain resident, 46-year old Bruce Ashby of Herne Bay, was arrested last night in Harrison county on speeding charges. The patrol said Ashby was accused of traveling 107 miles an hour in a 70 zone.
A convenience store chain with several locations across northern Missouri and southern Iowa, has announced a decision regarding sales of "energy drinks". Clerks will now ask for proof of age when people younger than 18 attempt to buy "energy shots". Will Starrett reports:

IBC North America and Clean Tide Container have announced plans to co-open a new facility in Chillicothe to manufacture and refurbish intermediate bulk containers, investing more than $5.1 million and creating 87 new local jobs.
Work is scheduled to begin next Monday (August 5th) on a project involving over 23 1/2 miles of Highway 6, from the intersection with Highway 31 (North) in DeKalb County to U.S. Highway 69, west of Altamont in Daviess County. The work will go through the cities of Maysville and Weatherby.
