The North Central Missouri College Foundation is pleased to announce a new education scholarship established by local residents Carl and Gloria Carpenter in memory of their late son-in-law, Thomas Anthony, M.D.
Monday, July 1, is the deadline for entering livestock into 4-H and FFA livestock contests at this yearâ€™s Missouri State Fair. Monday is also the deadline for open shows for cattle, goats, llamas, mules, poultry, rabbits, sheep and swine, according to Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe.
The investigation is continuing into a fatal fire in downtown Macon Wednesday morning. Authorities say the Macon Police and Fire Departments were called to the 100 block of North Rollins just before 7 a.m.
Tammy Dickinson, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a St. Joseph, Mo., woman was sentenced in federal court today for her role in a more than $5 million conspiracy that utilized the Missouri Department of Revenue license office in St. Joseph to provide more than 3,500 fraudulent identity documents to illegal aliens across the United States.
