Sports : KC Royals Sign Veteran Pitcher Jason Vargas

The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have agreed to terms with free agent left-handed pitcher Jason Vargas on a four-year Major League contract upon completion of a physical, which he passed today. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Sports : Northwest Bearcats Earn #1 Seed In Division Two Playoffs

The Northwest Missouri State football team has earned a week off, courtesy of earning the #1 seed in Super Region 3 in the NCAA Division Two tournament. Northwest completed an 11-0 regular season with a victory against rival Missouri Western last Saturday in St. Joseph.
