The Trenton Bulldog wrestlers, in the Friday night session of the Class 1 state tournament at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, swept their three matches, to become the only school in the state to advance three wrestlers into Saturday night's championship round. |

Automobile Accidents : Pickup truck crash injures Cameron man

A Cameron resident was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving overturned off a road near Cameron. Twenty-three year old Ian Jezak was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, then flown by medical helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. The Highway Patrol described his injuries as SERIOUS. |

A Chillicothe man, who has spent the past 18 years in custody (either prison or jail), could be released on bond this (Friday) afternoon. The Clinton County Circuit Clerk's office says Judge Owens Lee Hull has set bond for Mark Woodworth at $50,000 cash or surety. |

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says the Water Patrol division of the Missouri Highway Patrol, on Wednesday, assisted the Sheriff's Department, in river searches for stolen property. Sheriff Cox says some of the areas are more than six feet deep and his office 'does not have the proper equipment for such a search'. |

Automobile Accidents : Princeton woman injured in Highway 136 accident

A Princeton resident was hurt when the sport utility vehicle she was driving traveled off Highway 136 east of Princeton after a tire went flat. Seventy-eight year old Eula Blakesley was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton with what the Highway Patrol called SERIOUS injuries. |

Automobile Accidents : Two Chillicotheans hurt in Highway 36 accident

Two Chillicothe residents were hurt when a van overturned off Highway 36 west of Chillicothe. The driver, 27-year old Haely Bonderer, was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with what the Highway Patrol called SERIOUS injuries. A passenger, five year old Christian Still, was taken to Hedrick Medical with minor injuries. |

The North Central Missouri College basketball teams have gone unbeaten through a combined three games played at the Ketcham Community Center this week, with the Pirate men beating JV squads from Central College (Pella, Iowa) and Culver-Stockton College, while the Lady Pirates defeated Marshalltown Community College on Monday night. |

A Chillicothe teenager was hurt when the car she was driving skidded off a gravel road, hit a ditch, and overturned southwest of Chula. Sixteen year old Hannah Leamer of Chillicothe refused immediate medical attention for what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries. |

Brookfield High School placed first in the team competition at "Math Exploration Day" at North Central Missouri College in Trenton. A Gallatin High School student, Palmer Turley, was first in the individual problem solving contest. |

Out of four wrestlers that Trenton High School brought to the Class 1 state tournament, three remain alive in competition, all in the state quarterfinals, as quarterfinals, semifinals, and wrestlebacks are contested today at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Trenton's 170 pound senior Jacob Spillman had a first-round bye on Thursday, and automatically advanced into the quarterfinals, and a meeting with Curtis Quick of Sherwood, a junior with a record of 46-6. Spillman enters his first match of this year's state tournament with a season record of 42-1. |

Three people sustained what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries in a single vehicle accident on Wednesday night in northern Harrison County. The location, at Routes W and M, is five miles east of Eagleville. |

The City of Chillicothe has announced the employment of Chuck Greever of Chillicothe as the city's Building Codes Enforcement officer. Greever has been employed by Liberty Carbon Services in Excelsior Springs, where he has been a contractor working on special projects and equipment utilities maintenance. |

Trenton FFA member Sheridan Jamvold competed yesterday at the state finals of the Missouri Pork Producers pork speaking contest held in Columbia. Sheridan was one of six students competing. The theme for the contest was “Opportunities in the Pork Industry”. |
