The State Milk Board has announced that the plant license for Homestead Creamery of Jamesport has been reinstated. The facility was re-inspected by the Missouri State Milk Board on Tuesday. As a result, the license to process manufacturing grade dairy products was reinstated.

LIvingston County Sheriff Steve Cox, in an update to a story reported earlier this week, says at least "one person" has been identified as a possible suspect stemming from an investigation into recent burglaries in the northwestern part of the county, where multiple firearms have been stolen from two residences.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department is seeking information from the public regarding daytime residential burglaries in northwestern Livingston County. The Sheriff's Department says it recently began an investigation of a residential burglary on LIV 511 where a forced entry was made into the unoccupied home, and a variety of firearms and sporting goods were stolen.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department is investigating a Friday night shooting in Breckenridge (January 11th) that claimed the life of 12-year old Steven Curtis. Authorities were called to 58 West Maple in Breckenridge to a report of a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound.

The State Milk Board has announced that Homestead Creamery of Jamesport is voluntarily withdrawing a batch of its Flory's Favorite Cheese from the marketplace. Preliminary test results received from the Missouri State Health Laboratory indicate the cheese may be contaminated with Shiga-Toxin-producing E.coli, which can lead to food-borne illness. Confirmatory tests are ongoing.

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox has announced the promotion of Sergeant Michael Claypole to Chief Deputy Sheriff. Claypole has been employed by the L.C.S.D. since 2008. He has also worked as an officer and sergeant for the Chillicothe Police Department. He began his law enforcement career in 1999 with the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department.

The Livingston County Health Center will be offering its Adult Wellness Blood Draw Clinic on Wednesday morning, January 30th from 7 o'clock to 10 o'clock. The clinic will be held at the health center office at 800 Adam Drive in Chillicothe. The clinic is an effort to encourage adults to recommended preventative screenings conveniently, and at an affordable charge.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Tri-County School announces cancellation of classes on Thursday and Friday

The Jamesport Tri-County School District will not have classes on Thursday and Friday because of illness to students and staff. Superintendent Phil Fox said 29% of the students were absent today (Wednesday). That number is up from 25 percent on Tuesday. Four to five staff were also absent, with another two to three reporting "feeling poorly".

KTTN/KGOZ News : Two people now accused in last week's Clarence bank robbery

The Highway Patrol reports that a second person has been accused in connection with the armed robbery of a bank in northeast Missouri last Thursday afternoon. Twenty-six year old Savanna Barger of Atlanta, Missouri is accused of Felony Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. She is also accused of 'failing to appear in court' in Macon County on traffic charges.

The annual Polar Plunge at Lake Viking, held to raise money for Special Olympics Missouri, will be Saturday, February 2nd. This is a project of the Lake Viking Association, the Daviess County Sheriff's Department, and the Chillicothe and Crossroads Correctional Centers. Registration for the plunge starts at 12 noon at the Lake Viking Clubhouse, with a parade of costumes at 1:30, and plunging beginning at 2 o'clock.
