Six persons including a baby escaped safely from a burning home this morning in Trenton. Firefighters were sent just after 5 am to 1607 Carnes—the residence of Kathy Reeder and five other persons.
The recycling trailer that Grundy County personnel hauls to Galt, Spickard, and Laredo will be in GALT for the next two weeks. The location is near the fire station in Galt. Only items listed on the trailer are to be placed in the recycling bins.
At Wright Memorial Hospital Friday evening, the Hospital Foundation's Donor Recognition Wall was unveiled. It is nine feet, six inches wide by four feet, six inches tall. The base is laminate with engraved copy and graphics filled black and tan, with smoke laminate trim.
A bridge replacement project on Highway 36 in eastern Caldwell County is to begin when weather conditions allow. It is on the westbound lanes of Highway 36 at the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near Nettleton.
