The Unionville Police Department, on Monday, arrested three men after discovering an active meth lab at 905 South 22nd Street in Unionville. The men are facing multiple drug charges related to the discovery. |

The Department of Natural Resources is holding regional collections of unwanted pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides, de-wormers, fly tags, and fertilizers containing herbicides and pesticides. They are available to all Missouri residents. The pesticides and related chemicals can be from residences and farmers. |

Road Work Ahead : Highway 46 near Eagleville to close Monday morning

A section of Highway 46 in northwestern Harrison County (just northwest of Eagleville) will be closed beginning today (Monday) for a bridge replacement project. The bridge is over the West Fork of Big Creek, near Route YY. The closure is to last six to eight weeks. |

Automobile Accidents : Milan woman injured in eastern Sullivan County accident

A Milan resident was hurt late Saturday afternoon when the car she was driving overturned off Highway 6 west of Green City. The Highway Patrol said 37-year old Julie Howe of Milan received SERIOUS injuries, and was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. |

Unemployment rates last month rose in 11 area counties, remained steady in two, and declined slightly in two others. The latest statistics are from the Missouri Division of Employment Security for the month of May. |

A King City man has been arrested on multiple charges twenty-four hours after his motorcycle struck a deer two miles west of Stanberry. The accident resulted in injuries for the operator an an 11-year old passenger. |

The Missouri Department of Transportation is reminding the public that state-owned right of way must be clear of objects, including political and other yard signs. Placement of yard signs can, according to MoDOT, create safety hazards by blocking visibility needed by motorists to drive through an area or enter or exit area driveways and streets. |

A former superintendent at Callao and an acquaintance, have each been sentenced to life in prison with the connection with the murder of the former school official's husband. Fifty-seven year old Elain Kay Young of Novinger and 58-year old Katherine Mock of Cassville were convicted, in March, of the murder of Young's husband, Melvin Griesbauer of Novinger in March 2006. |
