KTTN/KGOZ News : NCMC closes offices Tuesday morning for "intruder training"

North Central Missouri College is reminding the public that offices on the college campus will be closed on Tuesday from 8 o'clock in the morning until 1 o'clock in the afternoon. There also are NO CLASSES on Tuesday at NCMC in Trenton.

Brookfield High School placed first in the team competition at "Math Exploration Day" at North Central Missouri College in Trenton. A Gallatin High School student, Palmer Turley, was first in the individual problem solving contest.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Livingston County river searches look for stolen property

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says the Water Patrol division of the Missouri Highway Patrol, on Wednesday, assisted the Sheriff's Department, in river searches for stolen property. Sheriff Cox says some of the areas are more than six feet deep and his office 'does not have the proper equipment for such a search'.

Trenton FFA member Sheridan Jamvold competed yesterday at the state finals of the Missouri Pork Producers pork speaking contest held in Columbia. Sheridan was one of six students competing. The theme for the contest was “Opportunities in the Pork Industry”.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Grants announced for Princeton and Chillicothe libraries

Secretary of State Jason Kander has announced grants for libraries in Mercer and Livingston Counties. Each allocation is called an "eReader exploration grant". The Livingston County Library in Chillicothe was awarded $1,750 while the Mercer County Library of Princeton was allocated $966.00.

Two Cameron residents were hurt when a small (Polaris) utility vehicle overturned in a pasture west of Polo. An occupant, 21-year old Taylor Arinze, was taken by private vehicle to Liberty Hospital with what the Highway Patrol called SERIOUS injuries.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Area school districts announce temporary bus travel plans

The Milan C-2 School District, in addition to Green City, Princeton, and Putnam County (Unionville) have announced plans to have buses travel on HARD-SURFACED roads only today (Friday). The alternative bus routes are being used because of the soft and muddy conditions prevailing on country roads across these districts.

A Chillicothe man, who has spent the past 18 years in custody (either prison or jail), could be released on bond this (Friday) afternoon. The Clinton County Circuit Clerk's office says Judge Owens Lee Hull has set bond for Mark Woodworth at $50,000 cash or surety.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department has received information about a specific Facebook profile where a person is claiming to be an adult, with the last name "Crawford", and living in an 'unknown location'. Sheriff Steve Cox said that profile has been in contact with numerous young people, who are also on Facebook.
