Fire destroyed a vacant house in Spickard on Friday night. Spickard Fire Protection District spokesman Jesse Richmond said the blaze was suspicious and was being investigated by the Grundy County Sheriff's Department.
A spokesman for the Spickard Fire Protection District, Jesse Richmond, says people with information regarding two suspicious fires in Spickard are being asked to call the Arson Hotline at the Missouri State Fire Marshal's office.
Fire late last night has displaced a rural Spickard family. Everything was lost in the blaze at 26 Northeast 80th Street. There were no injuries. Eonations are sought for the rural Spickard family of eight persons. That includes six children ranging in age from five to 16.
