Monday wrecks with injuries reported to the highway patrol

The highway patrol is reporting three separate accidents from Monday morning that
injured drivers of motor vehicles in Macon, Ray, and Gentry counties. There also was a single
vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Clinton County.

Princeton accident results in injuries, DWI arrest

The operator of a motorcycle was injured, then arrested, when his machine hit a truck that was attempting to cross a street in Princeton on Wednesday afternoon. The Highway Patrol listed injuries as minor for 54-year old Michael Covey, who declined medical treatment.

Motorcycle operator killed in Daviess County accident

A Gallatin man was fatally injured last night when, according to the Highway Patrol, he was thrown off his overturning motorcycle near Jameson. The victim, 26 year old Jesse Brown of Gallatin, was pronounced dead at the scene late in the afternoon by the Daviess County Coroner.

Trenton man passes away after Highway 65 accident

The Highway Patrol reports a Trenton man, Derald Whitney, suffered an apparent medical emergency while driving on early Wednesday evening. His pickup traveled off Highway 65 just north of Trenton. The 71-year old Whitney was pronounced dead a short time later at Wright Memorial Hospital.

Two Chillicothe residents were hurt when a sport utility vehicle traveled off Highway 36 east of Wheeling and hit a grove of trees, after the driver suffered from a medical condition. The Highway Patrol said that driver, 39-year old Laura White of Chillicothe, received MODERATE injuries.

A Cameron resident was hurt on Wednesday morning when the car she was driving traveled off a road north of Cameron, hit a metal post, and overturned. Seventeen-year old Brittany Jones was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries.
