The girl's tournament involves NINE teams and the boy's tournament just seven teams. This meant a first-round game was necessary for the girl's tournament. This game matched up rivals Tri-County and Gilman City, with the Ladyhawks emerging victorious by a final score of 14-9. The win moved Gilman City into the quarterfinals against #1 seed North Harrison, and the #8 seed was competitive, but eventually fell, 16-9.

In the other girl's quarterfinals, scores were #5 seed Winston over #4 seed East Harrison 9-6, #2 seed Pattonsburg over #7 seed Newtown-Harris 11-1, and #3 seed Mercer over #6 seed Grundy County 9-4.

The girl's tournament continues on Saturday, with the consolation semifinals at 10:30, with Gilman City playing East Harrison at Memorial Park and Newtown-Harris battling Grundy R-V at Linch Field. The winners advance to the girl's fifth place game, at 12:30 at Babe Adams Field.

In the girl's semifinals, North Harrison plays Winston at 12:30 at Memorial Park, with Pattonsburg dueling with Mercer at 12:30, at Linch Field. The winners meet for the championship at 3:45 Saturday afternoon at Memorial, with the losers playing for third place, at 3:45, at Linch.

Three boy's quarterfinals were played on Wednesday night, with the #1 seeded North Harrison Shamrocks earning a first-round bye. In Saturday's 2:00 semifinal at Memorial Park, North Harrison will play the #4 seed Mercer, after the Cardinals rallied to edge Newtown-Harris on Wednesday night by a score of 9-8.

The bottom of the boy's bracket featured two blowouts on Wednesday night, bringing a rematch on Saturday. #2 seed Grundy R-V blasted Tri-County 20-1, with #3 seed Winston doing the same to East Harrison, 16-1. Last week, Grundy R-V, on the road, blew a big seventh-inning lead and eventually lost at Winston in extra innings. The rematch between the Panthers and Cardinals is set for 2:00 on Saturday afternoon at Linch Field.

Newtown-Harris is in the boy's fifth place game, set for 2:00 Saturday at Babe Adams Field. In a consolation semifinal at Babe Adams on Saturday morning at 10:30, Tri-County plays East Harrison, with the winner advancing to play the Tigers.

The boy's third place game is Saturday night at 5:30 at Linch Field, with the championship game going at 5:30 at Memorial Park.
