A 14-year old St. Louis area girl, Ashley Lusk, won the North Missouri Texaco Country Showdown at Boonville over the weekend.

She advances to further competition in the Texaco Country Showdown program. Ms. Lusk previously won a local contest sponsored by KFAV radio of Warrenton, which is west of St. Louis.

Jeremiah Hamilton of Tindall was among the contestants in the competition at Boonville after winning local competition at Trenton sponsored by the PAR Broadcast Group.
