The city is to receive three thousand dollars from the Missouri department of transportation. The decision to sell some land was made last evening at the aldermens’ meeting. It allows MoDOT right-of-way access for improvements on the Route C bridge on the west side of Spickard.

The community will welcome the Calamity Jane tractor CRUISE on Friday September 20th.

The caravan of tractors is expected to travel on the Streets of Spickard between 10 and 11 o’clock that morning. It will be a break for the participants to have a snack and drink. Restrooms also will be available.

Calamity Jane officials report students at the Spickard school will get to view the tractors. It’s a 33 mile round trip as the tractor cruise goes from Princeton to Spickard and back to Princeton, concluding that Friday afternoon at the square. The same route was used last year for the Calamity Jane tractor cruise.
