Trenton's team score, on Wednesday afternoon, at Riverside Country Club, was 233 (61 strokes better than the season-opening performance last week in St. Joseph). The Lady Bulldogs challenged visiting Putnam County and Chillicothe, but fell just a bit short of the Midgets and Hornets, with Putnam County finishing at 222, and Chillicothe at 210.

Trenton's scores were led by a three-way tie at 56 between Caitlyn McNabb, Lauren Schmidt, and Jordain Oshel, and 65's from Kaitlyn Mounce and Sheridan Jamvold. A Putnam County golfer shot at 47 to earn medalist honors. Chillicothe's top scores were 48 from Kaylee Thieme and 49 from Morgan Dowell.

Other scores from the Lady Hornets were 53 from Hannah Leamer, 60 from Lauren Mason, and 66 for Libby Rule.

Trenton participates in the Schulyer County Tournament today (Thursday). Action started there at 9 o'clock in the morning.
