An artists reception is that Friday night from 6 until 8 o'clock at the Alaska House located at 455 Locust Street in Chillicothe. It's to feature music, performing arts, and written works read by the authors.

Artists will be present to discuss their work, many of which will be for sale. Saturday September 21st, the art show will be open from 10 o'clock until 2 o'clock for patrons to view and purchase pieces, also at the Alaska House. Organizers of the third annual “Access To Art” show and sale are describing the art work as diverse—including poetry, photography, pen and ink drawings, charcoal, watercolor, and acrylic visual art. A young artist who works with metals is expected to attend the event.

Access Two reports it's mission is to provide programs and services that encourage and help sustain greater independence for persons with disabilities. The agency's office is in Gallatin but covers eight area counties (Caldwell, Carroll, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Livingston, Mercer, and Ray.)
