According to WKYC, around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Westlake Police tried to question a man who was sleeping in a pickup truck in a hotel parking lot. He fled from police, leading them on a high-speed chase.

After police deflated the truck's tire, the driver ran off. He has been identified as Brian Adkison, the kidnapping and rape suspect who has been on the run after escaping from the Caldwell County Jail on Aug. 10.

Police searched for several hours, but were not able to find him.

According to police, the license plate on the truck he was driving was stolen from Strabane Township in Pennsylvania. The truck itself was stolen from Weirton, West Virginia.

Anyone who sees Adkison or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

A Facebook page dedicated to catching Adkison has been created and it already has over 2,000 members.

The page's creators have even started their own reward fund, and they've raised $3,000 so far.

To contribute to the reward fund, you can send checks to:
The Hamilton Bank
PO Box 127
Hamilton, MO 64644

Please make the checks out to "Brian Adkison Reward Fund".
