The sentencing was yesterday in Harrison County Circuit Court at Bethany before Judge Jack Peace.

According to a news release from the Attorney General's office that assisted in the prosecution, Rocco Affuso admitted to using a cattle prod to shock two children, ages 11 and four. Affuso also admitted to hitting the two children and forcing them to eat food that he had covered with hot sauce.

The sentencing included six years in prison on each of eight counts; four years on each of three counts; and three years on each of two counts. Court records stipulate that the sentences be served consecutively—adding up to the 66 years with the Missouri department of corrections.

In another case in Harrison County Circuit Court, 52 year old Jackie Affuso of Ridgeway pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child—being accused of not doing anything about the child abuse incidents. Jackie Affuso was placed on five years of supervised probation.
