Once again, the Chillicothe Police Department has been busy responding to calls from the public, including an unattended death.

On Friday, August 16th, 2013 officers responded to a residence at the 1200 block of Walnut Street for a complaint of a barking dog. The owner of the dog was identified as 30-year-old Nathan Hampton. Hampton was cited and is pending a court appearance.

On Friday, August 16th, 2013 officers took a report of harassing text messages that were received by a resident at the 200 block of Williams Street. As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Timothy Johnson was arrested at the Police Department. Johnson was cited and released from custody, pending a court appearance.

On Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 officers responded to a 2-vehicle non-injury accident at the 100 block of Henry Street. It was reported that a vehicle driven by Michael Singer backed into a parked vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damages. Singer was issued a citation for improper backing and no insurance and is pending a court appearance.

On Wednesday, August 21st, 2013 officers assisted Emergency Services with an unattended death at a residence at the 1400 block of Broadway Street. The victim was an elderly female, and no foul play is suspected.

Officers issued 8 citations for various criminal and traffic offenses.

Officers responded to 69 calls for service on Wednesday, August 21st, 2013.
