The Chillicothe Police Department have been extremely busy. During this reporting period, they answered 163 calls for service.

Chillicothe Police Officers investigated the theft of several items from a vehicle parked in the 800 block of North Washington Street. Some of the items taken from the vehicle include Department of Corrections' uniforms and a badge. The incident remains under investigation.

Officers took a report of a lost or stolen cellular phone. The reporting party reported the phone missing shortly after using it at a business in the 600 block of Washington Street.

Chillicothe Police officers arrested Aaron Tripp near the intersection of US 65 and Business 36 for possession of marijuana. Tripp was arrested following a traffic stop for a traffic violation.

Officers are investigating an alleged burglary at a residence in the 900 block of Calhoun Street. The reporting party reported several items were taken from inside the residence.

Chillicothe Police officers were called to the 10 block of Church Street for the report of an unresponsive male at a residence. When officers arrived at the residence they discovered that the 87-year-old resident was deceased. No foul play is suspected.

Officers are investigating the report of forgery. The reporting party has reported that his ex-girlfriend signed his name to a vehicle title without his permission. The incident remains under investigation.

Chillicothe Police officers arrested William Recor in the 600 block of Washington Street for shoplifting merchandise from a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street.

Officers took a report of property damage to a mailbox at a residence in the 500 block of Mohawk Road.

Chillicothe Police officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of St. Louis Street for the report of burglary and theft from the residence. The resident reported prescription medication had been taken from inside his residence. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers investigated a two-vehicle non-injury accident that occurred on a parking lot in the 1000 block of South Washington Street.

Chillicothe Police officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Vine St. Officers determined the altercation to be verbal and no arrests were made.

Officers investigated the report of an individual interfering with the right of custody of a child. The incident remains under investigation.

Chillicothe Police officers were called to a disturbance in the 1000 block of Fredrick Street. When officers arrived it was discovered that an altercation had occurred between a mother and her two teenaged children. The report has been forwarded to the Livingston County Juvenile Office.
