The Trenton Lady Bulldogs come off the second-best playoff run in program history with a talented, but inexperienced squad, sure to be tested by heavy graduation losses from 2012.

The Lady Bulldogs jump into the season with a jamboree in Brookfield on Saturday, August 24th, and the season opener against a stout Gallatin squad on Wednesday, August 28th at 5 o'clock at the Ebbe Sports Complex in Trenton.

Pitching, with names like Hutchinson, Utley, Pash, and Hurley, has been the backbone of the Trenton program. Head coach John Cowling says two young women are in competition for the #1 spot in the circle this fall:

The four top returners for the Lady Bulldogs are senior catcher Madi Trump, junior shortstop McKinley Hurley, senior outfielder Cassidy Cotton, and senior Makaila Capeder, a center fielder last season who could shift over to third base this fall.

While matching last season's win total may be “out of reach”, this Trenton team isn't planning on backing down to any of its competition:
