Accidents : Three Injured In Accident Near Bethany

Three persons from Minnesota and California were injured in a single vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on I-35, one half of a mile north of Bethany.

The highway patrol said a car driven by 63 year old Vinh Le of Santa Anna, California was northbound when the right front tire blew out causing the vehicle to go out of control. It ran off the left side of the highway where it struck the median and overturned coming to rest on its top. The vehicle was demolished.

The patrol said Vinh Le was moderate injured. His passengers: Le Kim (female) received minor injuries and Cuong Nguyen sustained what was called serious injuries. Both are 57 and from Chaska, Minnesota. All were taken by ambulance to the Harrison county community hospital in Bethany. All persons were using safety devices.
