20-year old Jackson Anderson of rural Trenton admitted violating his probation. Judge Steve Hudson revoked the probation and ordered an original six month jail sentence be Served. Anderson was given credit for already serving 34 of those days, and was remanded to complete the remaining 146 days in the Grundy county detention center. He was on probation on misdemeanor stealing charges.
33-year old Marco Venega, with addresses listed as Milan and Browning, pleaded guilty to passing a bad check. Venega was sentenced to 13 days in the Grundy county detention center, but was given credit for already serving those days. He's required to pay 97 dollars restitution and 116 dollars for court costs. A plea agreement was involved.
19-year old Alicia Garner of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to division one of Grundy County Circuit Court on a charge accusing her with attempted second degree burglary at Barnes Greenhouses and misdemeanor receiving a stolen computer monitor belonging to Barnes Greenhouses, both on March 3rd.
31-year old John Smiley, with addresses listed at Galt and Trenton, waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to division one of circuit court. Smiley is accused of driving while intoxicated on June 17th with two prior DWI convictions in 2006 in Grundy county.
Misdemeanor charges accusing smiley with driving while his license was revoked, possession of marijuana, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle sounding a siren and displaying emergency lights, and speeding 43 miles an hour in a 35 zone, all on June 17th were certified to be heard in division one of Grundy county circuit court.
56-year old Wanda Peterie, with addresses listed at Trenton and Cowgil, waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to division one of circuit court on a charge accusing her with passing two checks drawn on a non-existent account.
