The accident was on Route B, three miles east of Coffey.

The highway patrol listed the driver as 52 year old Joyce Eads of Coffey. She and two passengers received moderate injuries: 29 year old Jenna Eads and eight year old Hailey Eads—both of Trenton. Those three were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. Another passenger, 32 year old Brandon Eads of Trenton, reportedly declined medical treatment.

The patrol said the U-T-V was eastbound when it dropped off the south side of Route B.

The driver attempted to return to the road when the Utility vehicle overturned onto its top and came to rest off the south side of Route B. Damage was minor to the U-T-V. The accident report noted none of the four passengers was using a safety device.
