Three people were injured Friday afternoon in an accident three miles east of Cameron in Caldwell County.
The accident occurred when both vehicles entered an unmarked intersection at Sale Barn Road and Barwick Road three miles east of Cameron.
83 year old William Higdon was westbound on Barwick Road, when a vehicle driven by 61 year old Phyllis Eichmier, who was northbound on Sale Barn Road entered the intersection, striking Higdon's vehicle in the drivers side door.
Higdon's vehicle left the roadway, coming to rest on it's wheels in a field on the northwest corner of the intersection.
Damage to the vehicles was listed as extensive. All occupants were wearing safety devices. Higdon is listed as a Lamoni, Iowa resident, with Eichmier listed as residing in Cameron.
Higdon received what the highway patrol listed as moderate injuries. A passenger in the Eichmier vehicle, 37 year old Sandra Eichmier also received moderate injuries. Phyllis Eichmier's injuries were listed as minor.
All three were transported to the Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The accident was investigated by Sergeant Thompson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
