News : MoDOT plans road work

The Missouri Department Of Transportation is planning road work. Be aware, and adjust your routes accordingly, some roads will be closed.

The Missouri Department of Transportation plans sealing work on Route Y in Mercer and Grundy Counties on Thursday. It will result in route Y being closed during the work, weather permitting.

The project begins Thursday morning in Mercer County and moves south into Grundy County. The first segment of the sealing work on Route Y is from Mercer County Route E to Route JJ. That is from 8 until 10 o'clock. The next segment is between JJ and Grundy County Route O Thursday from 10 until 1. The final segment on Route Y is between Route O and Highway 6.

MoDOT also has announced a road closure in Carroll County. Route W in Carroll county is to be closed Friday between County Roads 151 and 161 for a culvert replacement. The hours are between 8 o'clock and 3 o'clock on Friday.

Route B in Linn County will be closed today, June 6, for a bridge inspection and routine maintenance, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. A bridge inspection team will have the Locust Creek bridge closed, approximately one mile west of Route 5. Local maintenance crews will use the closure to perform routine maintenance, as well. The road will close at 7:30 am. and should reopen by 4 pm. the same day. Motorists will need to plan an alternate route.

Route T in Carroll County will close today, June 6, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. Local maintenance crews will close Route T just south of Route Z at 8 am. for a culvert replacement. The road should reopen by 3.

The closure on Route O in Harrison County was rescheduled due to weather, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. Local maintenance crews will close Route O just south of Route UU at 7 am. today, June 6, to replace a culvert. The road should reopen by 3 pm. Motorists will need to plan an alternate route.
