KIRKSVILLE, MO. --An altercation involving scissors has landed a Kirksville woman behind bars.

Kaytie Jordan-Farley, 21, is in custody following the incident.

According to Kirksville police, officers were called to a residence regarding a domestic disturbance with a stab wound victim. The victim told officers she had been assaulted by her girlfriend, Jordan-Farley.

According to police reports, the victim stated the two got into a fight and it escalated when Jordan-Farley started hitting her in the face and scratching her on the neck.

Jordan-Farley then grabbed scissors from a nearby table and cut and stabbed the victim in the right arm.

The victim says she struck the suspect in self-defense.

When officers spoke with the suspect, she claimed the two were arguing and her girlfriend, the alleged victim, got upset, grabbed the scissors and started cutting her own arm.

Kaytie Jordan Farley was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and armed criminal action.

She is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond.
