Accidents : Princeton accident results in injuries, DWI arrest

The operator of a motorcycle was injured, then arrested, when his machine hit a truck that was attempting to cross a street in Princeton on Wednesday afternoon. The Highway Patrol listed injuries as minor for 54-year old Michael Covey, who declined medical treatment.

The Patrol then arrested Covey for Driving While Intoxicated, Persistent Offender and Driving While his License was Revoked. The Patrol said the truck was operated by 50-year old Jimmy Martin of Mercer who was not hurt. The report said the truck was hit as it was attempting to cross Highway 136 at Broadway in Princeton. Damage was minor to the truck and moderate for the motorcycle.
