News : hospital reports to become a "thing of the past" on KTTN
Posted by John on 2013/5/6 12:01:44 (305 reads) News by the same author

Through a recent number of years, officials in the health care industry have noted an
increasing amount of requests for patient privacy. At Wright Memorial Hospital, officials say they always strive to ensure the security and privacy for all patients.

Therefore, effective today, Wright Memorial Hospital will no longer provide admission,
dismissal, or birth information to the news media. For many years, patients were given the
option of whether they wish to have their name released for media announcements.
Wright Memorial, in a statement, said it will give patients in the maternity unit a list of local media outlets in case they are interested in making their own birth announcements with radio stations or newspaper publications.
For as long as any of our staff can remember, KTTN has provided at no charge, the
Daily hospital report from Wright Memorial Hospital. That will no longer be available to
our listeners. KTTN still plan to offer birth announcements at no charge once WRITTEN
information is provided by parents and / or grandparents.
Announcements can be submitted to rhonda@kttn.com
