News : TRENTON FFA AWARDS BANQUET HELD

Numerous awards and honors were presented at last nights' Trenton FFA annual banquet. Among them, five chapter Star awards: greenhands: Houston Sprinkle and Sadie Roy; agri business Adam Kirby; placement Kody Westcott; and Farmer Nathan Koon.
Ford Tough Scholarship from Barnes Baker, worth one thousand dollars ,went to Magie Steinhoff. National FFA scholarship from Mahindra for women in agriculture, one of only four in the nation, to Shelby Chaney and worth
25 hundred dollars.
Five loans for supervised agriculture experience projects were presented to
Adam Kirby (Crawford); Elizabeth Leeper (McHargue); Sadie Roy (Kiwanis);
Houston Sprinkle (Frank Hoffman Memorial); and Aaron Herring (George family)
Scholarships to attend FFA leadership conference in Washington D-C went to
five: Malinda Foster, Breilly Roy, Jessica Roy, Hayley Mathews, and Drew Dolan.
D-A-R public speaking awards to Magie Steinhoff, Alex Davis, Adam Kirby, Sadie Roy, and Shelby Lowrey.
Trenton FFA alumni scholarships go to Shania Anderson, Shelby Lowrey, and Magie Steinhoff. Winning the DeKalb ag award was Shelby Lowrey.
Steinhoff scholarship went to Katie Ireland. Gary Brinser senior awards went to Kate Lowrey and Shania Anderson. Outstanding junior award to Breilly Roy. Charly DeVorss Memorial award went to five seniors: Shania Anderson, Nathan Koon, Magie Steinhoff, Shelby Lowrey, and Alex Anderson.
Blue and Gold and then Black and Gold FFA awards to Shania Anderson and Jessica Roy respectively. Meservey scholarships to attend a public speaking academy went to Logan Demsich and Alexis Hagan.
Brownfield network and KTTN belt buckles for “up and coming” youth in agriculture went to Jacob Hall and Houston Sprinkle.
Receiving honorary chapter degrees were Scott Roy of Missouri department of conservation and Dick Thompson of the Trenton trap and skeet range.
Nine members were INSTALLED for next years' senior officer team of the
Trenton FFA Chapter. (They were announced for an election last week)
Several other honors recognized last evening had been previously reported.
Brooke Kreatz and Kabel Oaks are the Trenton FFA advisors.
